Lady Gaga talks about her PTSD
The star who is part of a number of charities said that she has always wanted to help people who have faced trauma. This could be because Lady Gaga stated that she had been raped at the age of 19. The trauma associated with this event has lead to mental illness and struggle throughout her adult life.
Gaga who now says that she lives with PSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), tells her fans that the only thing that saved her was the kindness from family, friends and her doctors, which have helped her get through trying times.
The singer didn’t tell anyone about being raped for 7 years, but when she finally told people, what gave her strength was the kindness she received from everyone. She now feels that trauma victims should be always around people who can give them a positive outlook on life.
To increase kindness in the world, Gaga has created the “Born this way foundation” which is co-founded with her mother. The foundation is located at the 30 Rock in New York City. The goal is to spread the word of kindness and to help those in need. The foundation has planned many programs for the Christmas season and the year ahead. Lady Gaga says that by just doing one act of kindness before the year ends; the world will be a better place.
